Project objectives

The steady quantitative and qualitative growth of the FH Campus Wien University of Applied Sciences also means new and expanded requirements for the main campus at the ‘Altes Landgut’, which opened in 2009. A new master plan was agreed as part of an urban planning competition. This includes five new building modules that are to be harmoniously integrated into the topology of the ‘Altes Landgut’.

Project description

The House of Health Sciences (HoHS) combines all study, further education and research activities of the departments of Applied Nursing Sciences and Health Sciences at one location. It includes specialised training rooms, including simulation laboratories, as well as areas for paediatric and intensive care, a cafeteria and an ceremonial hall. The HoHS was planned as a BIM project and realised as a total contractor service. iC was responsible for project control and local construction supervision.

Project data

The project (construction field module 3) borders the House of Science and Engineering (HoSE) to the north and the existing building (main building) to the east. With a gross floor area of around 42,000 m², the HoHS offers space for 5,000 students.
