Project objectives

Magyer Betriebs GmbH plans to use land it owns to the east of the village of Untersiebenbrunn as a landfill site for excavated soil and construction waste. The plan is to create a mound up to 20 metres high.

Project description

To prepare the submission documents for the EIA procedure, iC drew up the technical reports on air and climate, acoustics, and the climate and energy concept. In the run-up to this, baseline surveys were carried out over a period of one year, involving air quality and meteorological measurements at a representative monitoring point within the study area. Furthermore, assessments were drawn up regarding the discharge of pollutants into the surrounding agricultural land and water bodies.

Project data

• 13.25 ha site area
• Approx. 1,513,000 m³ total fill volume
• Approx. 193,000 m³ excavated soil
• Approx. 1,320,000 m³ construction waste
• 20 m fill height above ground level
• 20-year operational life, including reclamation

Services

• Measurement of the current ambient noise levels
• Measurement of current air quality levels for NOx/NO2, PM10 and dust deposition
• Preparation of the technical report on air and climate for the EIA procedure
• Preparation of the technical report on acoustics for the EIA procedure
• Preparation of the climate and energy concept for the EIA procedure
• Support during the EIA procedure: responding to objections, providing supplementary statements on pollutant emissions into adjacent agricultural land and water bodies
