- Measurement: ambient air quality (NOx/NO₂, SO₂, CO, BTX/VOC and particulate matter)
- Measurement & modelling: noise for daytime, evening and nighttime values as well as impact of vibrations on population and structures
- Water samples and measurements: physical parameters (conductivity, pH value, oxygen) and chemical parameters with laboratory analysis
The Railway Modernisation Project of a 226 km long railway track included an environmental survey and the elaboration of measures to mitigate potential project impact.
The environmental situation was assessed and the impact of the modernisation of the Yangon - Pyay railway line was evaluated. Measurements and samples were taken along the entire route and air pollutants were measured using passive samplers.
Measurement of noise, vibrations and air pollutants; sampling of water, soil and wooden sleepers; analysis of the collected data; comparison with applicable standards and guidelines; elaboration of measures to mitigate potential project impact.
