In Portorož, the 16th Slovenian Congress of Transport and Infrastructure gathered experts, researchers, administrators, and industry leaders to discuss new trends and future directions in transport and infrastructure for Slovenia and Europe.
The opening day featured a memorable awards ceremony, where a special DRC committee recognized significant professional achievements and contributions. We are thrilled to announce that our partner, Anjo Žigon, received an award for his remarkable creativity in solving complex problems, his positive impact on public perceptions of engineering, and his vital role in the success of Elea iC. Congratulations, Anjo!
Throughout the three-day congress, over 100 presentations and several discussion panels were held. Notably, two of our Slovenian colleagues delivered insightful lectures:
- Miha Hafner presented on risk management for existing road tunnels using machine learning technologies, in collaboration with Ulrich Zorin and Marko Žibert.
- Luka Gradišar discussed AI applications for automatic damage detection, co-authored with Jure Česnik and Miha Hafner.
