From Factory to Artistic Hub | Center Rog Ljubljana

|   Projects

The conversion of the former Rog bicycle manufactory into a bustling creative and communal nucleus is a development that brings us and many others great joy.

Spotlighted in our Communication publication, this endeavour by our colleagues from Elea iC seamlessly weaves legacy, originality, and sustainability.

What makes Center Rog noteworthy:

  • 9,000 m² refurbished edifice featuring a contemporary addition
  • 3,000 m² subterranean parking facility
  • 8,000 m² green park rejuvenating the local area

The historic structure was conserved and fortified using reinforced concrete walls, jet-grouted substructures, and carbon-fiber reinforcements. The fresh glass façade not only captivates with its modern allure but also spotlights the vintage architecture. Plus, a solar energy power station installed atop the building further underscores its eco-friendly focus.

In the present day, Center Rog stands as a pioneering creative hub in Ljubljana’s city centre, offering a state-of-the-art setting for applied arts and design. It is the crossroads where tradition encounters modernity, spurring collaboration and groundbreaking ideas.
