Pride Biz Pioneers 2026 | Visibility as a leadership task

The Pride Biz Pioneers initiative honours individuals who actively promote inclusion in their everyday working lives – in 2026, Anna Geiger will be among these role models.

Pride Biz Pioneers puts Austrian personalities in the spotlight who, in addition to their professional duties, are committed to the visibility and inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people in their organisations. The focus is on people who, through their daily actions, contribute to making working environments more open, safe and diverse.

Award in the category ‘Leader LGBTIQ+ Role Models’

Our colleague Anna Geiger has been honoured as a Pride Biz Pioneer 2026 in the category ‘Leader LGBTIQ+ Role Models’ for her openness as a manager. This category recognises individuals who consciously use their role and influence to strengthen psychological safety and embed inclusion as a natural part of the work culture.
In a traditional industry such as civil engineering, visibility often presents particular challenges. Anna's award makes it clear that change does not always happen loudly or linearly. It often happens gradually and sometimes in the background.

Impact beyond one's own role

The award stands for tangible impact in everyday working life: visibility that gives others courage and self-confidence, leadership that enables safe and open working environments, and a culture in which performance and authenticity are not contradictory. Role models such as Anna Geiger thus make an important contribution – not only for individuals, but for teams and organisations as a whole.

Inclusion as a sustainable success factor

Initiatives such as Pride Biz Pioneers demonstrate how crucial credible role models are for sustainable change. They highlight that leadership and inclusion are closely linked and that diversity in practice has a positive impact on collaboration, corporate culture and long-term success. This year, Pride Biz Austria honoured a total of six individuals who are committed to an open working environment in various roles. The award ceremony took place at karriere.at in Vienna and was accompanied by a volunteer jury.

Supported by a strong environment

Special thanks go to the companions from family, friends, partners and professional circles who have supported this journey through mentoring, encouragement and commitment. The award therefore represents not only a personal achievement, but also a shared attitude in everyday working life.
