S36 Murtal Expressway | Enhanced Connectivity: Judenburg - St. Georgen ob Judenburg

|   Projects

This initiative aims to optimize transport efficiency while prioritizing urban aesthetics and environmental considerations.

The S36 Murtal Expressway represents a crucial step forward in regional infrastructure development, focusing on the 12-kilometre stretch between Judenburg and St. Georgen ob Judenburg.

As part of the ASFINAG project, the environmental impact assessment (EIA) marks a significant achievement in the overall planning process. This milestone ensures compliance with environmental standards and supports sustainable project implementation.

Our experts were entrusted with comprehensive project management services, including the meticulous coordination, preparation, and submission of 1,274 documents—ranging from detailed designs to advanced technical analyses.

The proposed route aligns with the current B317 highway, traversing beneath the towns of Rothenthurm, St. Peter ob Judenburg, and Wöll via tunnels. This tunneling approach not only improves traffic flow but also allows for the transformation of the urban landscape, introducing modern surface designs that seamlessly integrate into the existing townscapes.

By enhancing connectivity and supporting urban renewal, the S36 Murtal Expressway project is set to deliver both functional and aesthetic benefits to the region.
