Timber Truss Bridge | Wels

|   Projects

The bridge will be a vital link in the region's sustainable transport network, offering expanded mobility options for pedestrians and cyclists alike.

The structure, built using timber for both sustainability and design effectiveness, features four observation platforms that provide a variety of perspectives of the river and surrounding landscape. The bridge is designed with accessibility in mind, incorporating platforms that are set apart from the main path to improve safety for users. The alternating façade adds a distinct visual appeal to the project.

Our employees are overseeing the construction of this new timber truss bridge between Wels and Schleißheim, scheduled for completion by late 2024. Designed by Schimetta Consult Ziviltechniker GmbH, the bridge will significantly enhance the regional infrastructure by closing gaps and creating new north-south connections over the Traun River.
