The Green Line is the largest single public infrastructure investment in Calgary’s history at $5 billion and at 20 km the longest stretch of LRT The City has built at one time.´In the downtown core of Calgary, between future stations 16 Ave N and 4 St SE, the LRT will go underground for about 4 km including crossing of the Bow River and building up to 4 underground stations. Given the complexity of the project, The City has confirmed an independent Technical & Risk Committee (TRC). Members are expected to have experience in the areas of procurement, commercial strategy, stakeholder management, design and tunnel construction for mega projects. Over the next two years, they will assist The City by advising on issues as they arise and identifying early key project risks and potential mitigation strategies. Their expertise will support the project through its next stages.
