Blasting for new Danube bridge

On 3.9.2019, a controlled blasting of a 1,500-tonne rock nose took place at the construction site for the new Danube bridge in the course of the A26 in Linz. The blasting was successful according to the plans of the blasting and vibration expert opinion of iC. For the blasting, the entire construction site area was closed for half an hour for a length of 600 metres along the B127, on the opposite bank of the Danube the Eferdingerstraße (B129), the ÖBB tracks, the Danube cycle path and the Danube including shipping.
