Project objectives

The aim of the project was to create state-of-the-art care facilities for elderly people, thereby enhancing the quality of care in the region.

Project description

Construction of the new PBZ building began in August 2021, with the relocation to the new site completed in April 2024. Covering an area of 15,000 m², the two-storey building provides 144 care places, divided into eight residential groups of 18 people each. The centre is equipped with cutting-edge medical facilities and was constructed sustainably. Flooded with light and inviting, it seamlessly integrates the adjacent garden. Amenities include a café, a chapel, a hairdresser, a chiropody room and spacious communal areas.

Project data

The project covered a site area of 19,015 m² with a usable floor space of 6,616 m². Approximately 747 tonnes of steel, 5,500 m³ of concrete, and 56 kilometres of energy cables were used. The roof includes 600 m² of photovoltaic panels and 4,300 m² of extensive green roofing. Additionally, 230 timber-aluminium windows were installed.
