Project objectives

Construction of a production and research building as well as an office and laboratory building for veterinary pharmaceuticals, biotechnological plant protection, and fertilisers. The focus was on sustainable planning, construction, and operation.

Project description

New construction of a research facility for veterinary medicine and plant protection products, as well as the new headquarters of the client.

Project data

The complex offers space for around 180 employees and integrates modern building building technologies such as photovoltaic systems, geothermal heat exchangers, waste heat recovery and rainwater utilisation for sanitary facilities. The office and laboratory building with a GFA of 5,250 m² comprises office and laboratory space, an auditorium, atrium, restaurant and a company day care centre. An underground car park with 95 parking spaces, including e-charging stations and barrier-free parking spaces. The 1,850 m² industrial building houses a glass house, an Animal Lab, BioFerm production and a hydrogen production facility with a refuelling station.

Services

Within a consortium with SWAP iC was responsible for general planning. iC handled structural planning, construction coordination (BauKG), building physics, general planning coordination, and was solely responsible for the local construction supervision.
