Project objectives

The close collaboration between the participating universities will create synergies with regard to the procurement, introduction, operation and continuing development of a CAFM information system. In addition, there will be potential for synergies (because the CAFM solution will be em-ployed jointly) in connection with the official body that provides property for public sector functions in Austria (the Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft). The introduction of the facility management processes will make it possible for the cooperation partners to undertake a critical review of the processes they themselves employ and enable them to update these.

Project description

The 'CAFM' subgroup of UNIKO wishes to implement a CAFM software solution that exploits as much of the potential synergies between uni-versities as possible. An ARGE/UNIKO work group has been constituted to oversee the standardised development and introduction of a CAFM (computer-aided facility management) system. One objective will be to supplement the membership of the ARGE/UNIKO group during the on-going project and this outcome will be required by the universities.
