Project objectives

The general objective of the A 26 Linz motorway is to provide a complete and sustainable solution to the urgent transport problems in the Linz metropolitan area in the field of private transport.

Project content

A study on vibrations and secondary noise had to be performed as part of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) outlining the project’s effects during construction and operation.

Four lane motorway, project length 4.3 km

Unionstrasse interchange – West bridge – Waldeggstrasse interchange – Freinberg tunnel (l = 3,200 m) with railway station and Danube South interchanges – fourth bridge over the Danube (l = 306 m) – Danube North interchange
