Fill Operations / Reclamation of Agricultural Land after the 2022 Flood

Project objectives

The aim of the project was to clear the sediment deposits on flooded agricultural land and to use the recovered material for fill operations.

Project description

Clearing the flooded agricultural land served to clean and reclaim the existing fields and areas, optimise agricultural management, increase flood protection by restoring retention areas, and utilise the material locally.

• Total area: approx. 41,650 m²
• Total volume of backfill: approx. 83,100 m³

• Surveying and analysis of the affected areas (identification of deposition zones)
• Planning and sizing of the fill operations in compliance with nature conservation requirements
• Coordination with the competent authorities to obtain nature conservation approval
