iC Colombia with its office in the city of Bogotá is one of iC’s main pillars on the international market. The office, established in October 2011, has been active in the mining business providing geologic and geotechnical services for large-scale, world-class mining projects, including the La Colosa gold open pit project (AngloGold Ashanti, Colombia), the Encuentro copper-molybdenum-gold open pit project (Antofagasta Minerals, Chile) and the Maturi copper-nickel-gold-platinum underground mining project (Twin Metals Minnesota, USA). Services include geologic-geotechnical surface mapping, evaluation of geologic and geotechnical drill hole information as well as 3-D modelling of geologic structures and rock mass conditions for the mining areas as well as associated infrastructure areas (water reservoirs, tunnels, tailing ponds and waste rock facilities). The successful performance over the last years has already lead to long-term relations with the clients, which iC Colombia seeks to expand.
