Nordwestbahnhof | EIA Complete & Projectstart

This 44-hectare area is now poised to become a sustainable and inclusive urban neighborhood.

Comprehensive studies on noise pollution, vibration analyses, light and shadow analyses as well as air quality and climate analyses comprised our involvement in the environmental impact assessment. We also developed a thorough climate and energy strategy. To this end, we conducted thorough measurements of existing conditions, including noise, vibration, air quality, meteorology and wind patterns.

With the environmental impact assessment (EIA) successfully completed, the redevelopment of Nordwestbahnhof is set to proceed, marking a pivotal moment of Vienna's last significant inner-city development area.

As the project advances, we will continue to concentrate on the continuous measurement of noise, vibrations and air quality in order to maintain the best environmental standards. This landmark completion will not only facilitate the construction of 6,500 new flats and 4,700 jobs by 2035, but is also a demonstration of our dedication to advancing sustainable urban development.
