Project objectives

A water reservoir is being constructed near the Donneregg for snow machines at the nearby ski resort, incl. supply lines and a multi-use route.

Project description

iC was tasked with the geological and hydrogeological investigation and assessment of underground conditions and morphology in the reservoir area and associated structures. The project area lies in an alpine, tectonised environment with glacial deposits and erosional features. Ground investigation included trial pits, drillings, and mapping. The project was authorised in July and September 2017 under water and environmental regulations, with geological stipulations. Construction began in spring 2018, with iC responsible for geological supervision and hydrogeological  monitoring.
