Propulsion station renewal of the Saint-Gobain Rigips Austria GmbH tipper ropeway conveyor between Wienern/Grundlsee and Bad Aussee.

Project description

The Saint-Gobain Rigips Austria GesmbH runs a ropeway conveyor for transporting raw material (gypsum) between the open pit mine Wienern (Grundlsee) and the processing plant at Bad Aussee at an altitude of approximately 1160m. The cable car was built in 1951. In 2017 the propulsion station located midway on the Auermahd was renewed.

• Transport tonnage approx. 275,000t per year, conveying capacity 9t/h
• Saving approx. 20,000 truckloads or 350t CO2 per year
