Bavarian State Construction Directorate

April 2020 to December 2025

Object and structural design of engineering structures for phases 2 to 6 HOAI (preliminary design, preparation, design) using the BIM method, BIM

Project objectives

Design, construction of the Kauerndorf Bypass

Project description

The B289 Kauerndorf Bypass project consists of the following objects:Pre-cut junction West with retaining walls and cut, tunnel including two tunnels and ancillary, pre-cut junction East with several retaining walls and cuts, spoil/conveying (mass concept)

Project data

West pre-cut: Retaining walls: L = 220 m, 53 m, 26 m, underpass ramp, including bridge on B289, East pre-cut: Retaining walls: L = 120 m, 185 m, 166 m,
Main tunnel: Cut and cover west: ca. 10 m, cut and cover: app. 90 m, Two tunnels: L = 240 m, 50 m

Project specifics

A central element of digital is the comprehensive of BIM methods in all design phases, high adjacent to the west pre-cut. The tunnel passes very close to builtup areas.

Object and structural design for phases 2 to 6: West and east pre-cuts including all structures, main tunnels, operational buildings and contaminant pools, spoil (mass concept)
