Opening | Nursing and Care Centre Korneuburg

A significant milestone in the development of healthcare infrastructure in Lower Austria.

Together with the architectural firm Lindner, we were responsible for overall planning, local construction supervision, and building information modelling. The project aims to create state-of-the-art care facilities for the elderly, improving the quality of care in the region.

Construction of the new PBZ building began in August 2021, and the move to the new location was completed in April 2024. An investment of 28 million euros by the state of Lower Austria enabled the addition of 45 nursing and care places, bringing the total to 144. Residents are divided into eight groups of 18 people each, offering both long-term and short-term care services.

The building spans a total area of 15,000 square metres and is energy-efficient with state-of-the-art medical facilities. Sustainable construction methods were used, emphasizing environmental compatibility. The two-storey nursing and care centre blends seamlessly into the adjoining garden and is well-lit, modern, and inviting. Amenities include a café, chapel, hairdressing salon, chiropody room, and spacious communal areas.
