On 14.09.2022, the new "Weitsicht Cobenzl" opened in Vienna. After a construction and renovation period of about one and a half years Vienna's favourite recreation area has now it's comeback.
With architectural elements from the 1960s and 70s, a piece of Viennese history was maintained inside the Cobenzl Castle while with the construction of the new Panorama Building and the Café Rondell the entire project was brought into the modern era.
iC participated with general technical planning and site supervision and CES clean energy solutions supervised the disposal of pollutants.
About 20 million euros were invested in the Cobenzl. A large part of this project was provided by private investors, while the city itself contributed 4.1 million euros, according to its own information. The property remains in the possession of the city of Vienna and is leased to the operators.
