In addition to 2 hectares of parkland and 190,000 m² of living space, the project also emphasises ecological sustainability. iC, is supporting the project in various areas such as building physics, financing management, EU taxonomy, building certification and building simulations.
An outstanding feature of the project is its central location with excellent transport infrastructure and local shopping facilities. The project has been designed to be largely car-free and welcomes pedestrians and cyclists to a green urban oasis. The sustainability of the neighbourhood is reflected in its use of resources. Geothermal energy and photovoltaic systems on site are used to generate a large proportion of the energy.
The "Village im Dritten" is an up-and-coming sustainable urban neighbourhood with a variety of uses that focuses on ecological and social sustainability and represents the future of urban development.
