Project objectives

EBRD attaches great importance to investments in the industrial sector which increase both energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources in Ukrainian industrial plants with the aim of reducing the excessive energy consumption in private enterprises and of strengthening their economic viability.

Number of companies assessed: 22
Energy saving potential: gas: 1,000 GWh, electricity: 99 GWh, CO2: 8 million tons.
Industrial sectors: paper, food, construction material, electrical industry, glass, mechanical engineering, cement.

Project content

UKEEP is a credit line developed by EBRD to support private Ukrainian companies in the implementation of energy efficiency measures. The consortium, led by iC, supports the bank in carrying out the project.

Project specifics

This project implemented in Europe’s largest country demands a high degree of flexibility, professionalism and technical competene. Two investments recommended by iC have received the Ukrainian Energy Efficiency Award.
