Project objectives

The Municipal District Heating Company ‘VologdaGorTeploSetj’ of the City of Vologda (Central Russia) provides heat energy to the private and public sectors. iC’s experts and the local partners support the project implementation unit in executing the district heating project, which was financed by an EBRD loan of RUB 500 million.

Project description

The district heating project included the replacement and upgrade of obsolete network pipes with pre-insulated pipes, as well as the modernisation and renovation of several boiler houses. Selected energy efficiency measures have been implemented, such as the replacement of district heating pumps, heat and gas meters, and the introduction of variable speed control equipment for pumps and fans. Additionally, individual heating substations have been modernised. Due to the client’s operational needs, the project was divided into 9 tenders and 13 lots.
