Project objectives

The general objective of the A 26 Linz motorway is to provide a complete and sustainable solution to the urgent traffic issues in the greater Linz area regarding individual transportion.

Project description

An urban transport project with a high impact on residents, resulting in more than 1,500 responses during the EIA procedure. A study on vibrations and structure borne noise had to be performed as part of the Environmental Impact Statement outlining the project’s effects during construction and operation.

• Four-lane motorway, project length 4.3 km
• Unionstrasse interchange - West bridge - Waldeggstrasse interchange Freinberg tunnel (l = 3,200 m) with Railway Station and Danube South interchanges - fourth Linz Danube bridge (l = 306 m) - Danube North interchange.
