PDF-DownloadAccording to NÖVOG's maintenance plan, periodic inspections are to be carried out on all the slopes and protective structures of railway lines in operation.
NÖVOG's route network includes numerous former ÖBB routes, including the Mariazellerbahn, Waldviertelbahn, Wachau- and Donauuferbahn and the Schneebergbahn. At regular intervals, safety-relevant inspections of all embankment and rock faces, as well as the protective structures, are to be carried out. The results of the inspections are evaluated in the form of protocols and lists of deficiencies. In case of imminent danger, immediate measures are ordered.
Total length of railway track: approx. 300 km Scope of the assessment (embankment and rock slopes): approx. 122 km Slopes investigated in detail: approx. 1.400 in 8 sections Assessed protective structures: 49 in three sections
